Acton’s eco-park offers campers eight hectares of Machair habitat biodiversity with unparalleled panoramic Atlantic seascape views. The coastal eco-park, with its soft, white, sandy ‘private beach’ is in walking distance to the stunning tidal island of Omey. Located just ten minutes from Clifden town & two minutes from the scenic village of Claddaghduff.

Our ecological site is low in density & uncommercialized. Glamping & wild camping style plots are eco-peaceful & privately spaced apart between ‘marram grass’ covered sand dunes, making your camping experience unique & more enjoyable!

Here at Actons, the night sky is spectacular due to limited light pollution on the grounds and with our eco-friendly fire pits you can star gaze along side a cosy campfire with marshmellow cocktails on our beach or adjacent your plot,  all adding to the flare of excitement!

Operated on a sustainable, green, environmental & ethical basis, our campsite is in harmony with nature. Rich in biodiversity with interesting flora & fauna to be seen throughout. Additionally, the eco-site is located on a certified organic family farm both of which prides itself on sustainability.

Be it a motorhome, caravan or tent, you can be happy in the knowledge that your holiday is having a limited impact on the environment. This is green camping for the purist!

The site is almost surrounded by the sea & has the perfect on site location for all kinds of sea-borne activities including, safe swimming, excellent sea angling, scuba diving, wind surfing, kite surfing, boating & the famous Streamstown Bay ‘drift dive’. An excellent experience is the ‘drift snorkle’ from our sandy beach along  the estuary of Streamstown Bay.There are beautiful coastal beach walks directly from the park, including walks to & around the tidal island of Omey.

We guarantee that your plot never becomes wet under foot, will remain dry & clean even in extreme wet weather conditions. It is also rare for ‘midget’ insects to appear on site due to its coastal location.

Our eco-site boasts an excellent private supply of crystal clear, organic potable mineral water. Extracted from its sand bearing soil. The mineral water, in accordance with strict regulations is delivered sterilized to its points of use, throughout the campsite.

We have implemented child protection policies & procedures which are over seen by a qualified member of staff, ensuring a safer camping environment for children.
