Errislannan Horse Riding CentreErrislannan Riding Centre is a Failte Ireland and AIRE approved equestrian centre renowned for its beautiful scenery. Established in 1970 they have taught many children to ride and to love ponies. They offer long or short treks (€30/hour) over heather covered moors and along the shores out to the end of the peninsula, home of hares, larks, otters and all kinds of seabirds. The Connemara ponies are homebred, sound and safe and come in all sizes.

The half-hour led rides for small children (€25) are very popular and for older children or adults there are daily class lessons (€35/hour). Three-day mini camps for varying age groups are also available. The gardens are open with a walled garden, bluebell wood, rhodos and exotic trees (garden visit €5). There is fishing for trout in the lake and a coffee shop. Closed on Sundays. Directions: from Clifden take the Ballyconneely Road. Go over 3 bridges and take the first turn right up hill to the Alcock and Brown Memorial. Continue for 2.5 km and you will see the entrance on the right hand side with the name.
