Elizabeth Cooney and Finghin Collins come together again as a violin and piano duo to perform Schubert’s “Grand Duo”, Szymanowski’s Greek inspired “Mythes” (recorded with Szymanowski on violin and Bartok on piano in 1921) and two miniatures by the same composer “Notturno and Tarantella Op.28”. The concert will also feature Elgar’s only work for violin and piano, which he described as ‘full of golden sounds’.
