On the 11th April 1911 Guglielmo Marconi, along with his assistant George Kemp, and two other Engineers climbed the Diamond Mountain with
a view to establishing the 1st Duplex Wireless system in the world.
This guided walk led by Shane Joyce, will retrace the steps of the men to the top of the Mountain and explain what they aimed to achieve.
It will finish at the little known station building which is still
standing at the foot of the mountain where the 1st Duplex signalling was achieved on the 4th July 1911.
