A moderate full-day tour of the beautiful island just off the Connemara coast on the Wild Atlantic Way. Features a spectacular natural harbour castle, beautiful coastline including stunning beaches (rare machair and sand dune habitats) and coves, a small hill (with great views), maritime history and a vibrant local community. Distanc is about 10km with climbing of about 350m. The terrain is a mix of open hillside, bog, track, beach and surfaced roads. Requires boots with ankle support along with outdoor layers along with some water and snacks (refreshments can be bought on the island). Costs €50/person excluding €20 ferry cost; places currently available. The weather is generally a mix of showers and bright spells with moderate west wind.
