The team at Brigit’s Garden is delighted to present a day of activities, workshops, community engagement and eco-inspiration on Sunday 18th June for our Sustainable Living Day. Sustainability is an important aspect of our ethos at Brigit’s Garden and we look forward to offering this event as a commitment to our aim of being a centre of environmental sustainability and education.
Join us from 1-4:30 for free workshops focused on wild foraging, wildflower gardening, forest therapy and forest school, DIY natural cleaning products, sustainable energy in action and traditional coppicing techniques. We will have pond-dipping and identification of vital mini-beasts for our water eco-systems. We will demonstrate our own sustainable power offerings like our hydropower plant, human- energy-generated fountain, solar panels and wind turbine. We will have an opportunity to encourage community sharing of best practices, as we are all searching for simple and impactful ways to honor and protect the Earth.
Half Price Coffee in the Garden Café
Bring your own cup and get half price coffee and tea (and save a tree!). We will be sampling our house-made herbal teas and some wild foraged goodies plus our café will be serving the full menu, inspired by local, seasonal foods, some of which we grown in our own garden.
Sustainable Living Day is free to members and the normal Garden admission price applies for non-members: €8 adults/ €5 children/ €24 family/ €6.50 senior, student, concession. For those who take public transport, walk and cycle, our eco-concession rate is €1 discount on any admission.
