Mitchell’s Cafe at Kylemore Abbey boasts delicious traditional Irish dishes, freshly made on a daily basis by our chefs. Fresh ingredients from the Kitchen Garden of the restored 6-acre Victorian Walled Gardens are used in our menu. Our menus are based on the recipes generously bestowed by the Benedictine nuns. Kylemore freshly baked fruit scones are known across the globe, as are our freshly prepared soups, crusty brown bread and the all-time favorite Apple Pie. Mitchell’s Cafe can cater for 260 people indoors and 70 people on our outdoor terrace.
Mitchell’s Cafe at Kylemore Abbey is a child friendly restaurant. We welcome families. We have highchairs and baby changing facilities and colouring sheets and crayons to keep the little ones entertained.
Tea House by the Walled Garden is open from Easter to Halloween and boasts spectacular views over the Connemara National Park. Fresh herbal tea is served daily using herbs grown in the Victorian Walled Garden. The Tea House at Kylemore Abbey is the perfect location for a relaxing coffee and treat after a walk through the walled garden. The Tea House can cater for 110 people indoors and 50 people outdoors.
